Michal has managed first Scrum project in Czech Republic, and thus became first Scrum Master. His deep interest lies in management of technology companies. After successful reinvention of Actum company, he has founded Aguarra, a training and consulting company, to help technology companies in Central Europe to deploy modern managerial techniques to support their business agility and performance. He founded agile movement and community in Czech Republic and Slovakia and organize respected Agilia conferences. He loves to visit innovative companies worldwide for learning and inspiration. Michal holds master degree in Electrical Engineering by University of Zilina and gained his MBA at Open University Business School in Milton Keynes, UK.

In his presentation Michal retrospect on 7+ years of his consulting experience. He summarizes key findings from assessments on software development or operation management, that he carried in few dozens of organizations in several countries. Putting them into contrast with objectives of his work on first agile transformation in Czech Republic, he further reveal, what are organizational culture types, how and why they support the agility and why it is important to take culture into consideration when we speak about agile adoption. Michal shares also bit of his background, that formed his views and opinions about Agile, about management and about managing effective organization.
