Jovan Vidić
IT Consultant, Codecentric, Serbia

Jovan Vidić is an Agile Practitioner who repeatedly finds passion and inspiration in his job. As people’s person, he started leading teams at the age of 24. This experience has made him an advocate of the “self-organizing” approach, which does not impose limits on the thinking, working and creative processes of the team members, but on the contrary, it drives them to jointly contribute and prosper. He strongly believes that knowledge is there to be shared and available to everyone. This is actually the goal of the group „Agile Coaching Serbia” which he founded in Novi Sad.

Presentation

In this talk, I am going to share my personal story about “burnout” which I experienced when I was working in an environment where estimates were treated as deadlines, what I learned from that and how that learning helped me to advocate and lead an adoption of #NoEstimates approach in the current team. I will give some ideas about what should you do in your team in order to create environment where estimates are not important any more.
