Companies who develop physical products are facing similar problems to those who „just“ develop software: Milestones are missed, projects rarely stay within the authorized budget and a lack of transparency leaves involved parties clueless about the current status of the project. Lastly, a tendency to over-engineer the products makes companies miss actual customer needs. I will talk about how implementing Scrum has quickly created measurable value and induced a mindset-change at both team members as well as managers of our client – a developer of high end analytical instruments.
